Friends Until the End Part II

When I heard you were dying,
I collapsed and started crying.
You should've told me from the start,
You promised that we would never part
Although it pains me to see you dying,
It hurts more that you were lying.
When you fainted in the street,
and said it was because of lack of sleep.
I know I can't be mad,
when your sickness makes me sad.
I miss your carefree smile,
the one that makes everything worthwhile.
What will I do without you,
if you leave my side?
What will I do,
Where can I hide?
[Finished by me 3/27/05]
But now I realize our friendship must end
so our journey as people can continue on.
And now that I look back,
I cherish the memories.
You were once my best friend,
and I believed you when you said,
"Friends until the end."
And I still believe you.

This poem was written after Part I, and as you can see, this poem is more about the breaking of the friendship. They "dying" part is figurative, she didn't really die. But it's symbolic of how our friendship broke apart. The last part that I "added" when I was transferring it to HTML is lame, but whatever.
